Since the outbreak of the pandemic in April, a lot has happened. The majority of people are now unable to travel abroad. It was impossible to travel abroad for work, to visit loved ones, or to enjoy a well-deserved vacation. With a Fit to Fly Certificate you can now travel freely aboard again.
Flights are opening up slowly as lockdown restrictions begin to ease. However, there are some new rules that you need to follow in order to fly.
COVID-19 Travel Regulations
It is important to stay up-to-date with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office’s latest travel advice if you plan to travel internationally in the coming year. You should always check with your airline and the FCO for your exact requirements.
What is the difference?
A Standard Fit to Fly Certificate is a letter from a registered doctor with the General Medical Council (GMC), confirming your ability to fly. Your pre-existing medical conditions will be assessed by your GP and will be stated that flying will not adversely affect them.
A clinic such as ours that is accredited by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) stamps your certificate.
The COVID-19 Fit to Fly Certificate contains all the above and a confirmation of a recent independent negative COVID-19 test.
What are the best times to get a Fit to Fly Certificate?
Standard fit to fly certificates may be required by airlines if you are:
Recently discharged from the hospital
Recovery from an Operation
You are more than 28 weeks pregnant
Medical travel
We recommend that you contact your airline as soon as possible. You should ensure that you receive your certificate on time for your flight. You should plan ahead as timings can vary.
COVID-19 Certificate of Fit to Fly
A COVID-19 Fit to Fly Certificate, also known as a COVID-19 Certificate, is a letter that confirms that you are healthy and safe to fly. The NHS COVID-19 results are not acceptable for travel certification. To travel internationally, you must pass an independent test. Timing is crucial and may vary depending on whether you are traveling with an airline, destination or both. To avoid disappointment, plan ahead.

Our experts are available to assist you with obtaining a Fit to Fly Certificate. Both in-clinic and at-home testing is available.
If you would prefer a home test please allow 48 hours for it to arrive after you have placed your order online.
What is the validity of a COVID-19 Fit to fly certificate?
Each country and airline will have its own requirements. Certificates are only valid for a limited time so make sure you review the requirements and pass the test within the time limit.
