New Makita Battery Backpack
It’s a little different and could prove to be an essential accessory for cordless landscaping professionals. Makita’s latest battery backpack is capable of holding four batteries, allowing you to work all day with your tools without having to stop to recharge. The backpack can provide an 18v and 36v power supply. It also works with single and double battery machines. Power is supplied through the “umbilical chord” that runs between the pack and the tool. The pack’s massive 24ah capacity is a result of four 6ah battery packs. Landscapers should be able to complete a good amount of work without the need for a refill. You won’t have to carry heavier, larger batteries around your back. This will reduce strain on your arms and shoulders when you use handheld tools like hedge trimmers.
New Makita garden tools for sale in 2022: Grass Trimmers
Makita’s latest generation of grass cutters has seen an enormous improvement in the way they operate. It is packed with new user-experience enhancements and hardware upgrades. For longer-lasting, more comfortable use, you can choose between the traditional Loop handle handle or the Offset bike handle handle configuration. The form of the tool remains the same as before, but it’s the underside that’s changed.
The new brushless motors have cast aluminium housings that are more energy-efficient than their predecessors. The Direct Drive System promises more power, higher speed and longer run time. Automatic Torque Drive Technology monitors the material you’re cutting, adapts to deliver higher torque and slower speeds in dense materials, and lower torque and faster cutting in lighter situations. To prevent the grass trimmer from stalling due to excessively dense materials, the Torque Limiter works with it.
A new Control Panel allows users to have control over their cutting experience to tailor it to their particular needs. The panel has an operation mode switch that allows you to adjust the cutting blade type, and the settings are automatically adjusted for you. This can be used to alter the cutting head’s Nylon cord or triple plastic blade. You will also find a reverse switch on the control panel that allows you to clear any cuttings from the head.
New Makita Garden Tools 2022: Lawnmowers
Makita’s new mowers come in both self-propelled and push versions. They also have brushless motors that are housed in sturdy cast aluminium housings. The mowers are also equipped with high-efficiency brushless motors in durable cast aluminium housings. This allows for more efficient cutting and lower power consumption. These mowers can be powered by 36v power. You can choose from a dual or quad-battery capacity. This allows you to load the mower fully, then continue cutting until the batteries run out. Makita’s new DLM533 mower can cover an area up to 2000m2 using four fully charged BL1860B (6.0ah), batteries. It will then stop for approximately 40 minutes. The Self-Propelled mode provides approximately 30 minutes continuous runtime, and is recommended for areas of up to 1700m2.
Mowers powered by batteries are often preferable in noise sensitive environments. Many of the new models have an added Quiet mode which allows for minimal impact on the surrounding environment.
New Makita Garden Tools 2022: Chainsaws
Makita’s upcoming 36v chainsaws run on two 18vLXT batteries simultaneously. However, they aren’t lacking in power. When the application is lighter, you can switch back to standard mode and prolong the battery’s life. These machines have been equipped with efficient brushless motors that are energy-efficient to extend their life expectancy.
New Makita Garden Tools 2022: Hedge Trimmers
Makita’s upcoming hedge cutters are interesting. The DUH604 & DUH754 feature front and back handles that are perpendicular to each other (think bicycle pedals if this makes sense). The rear handle features what Makita calls a Shark Fin switch, while the front handle has a lock-off handle. The DUH604’s 600mm blade is the same as the 754’s 750mm one. They both have a double reciprocating action and are single-sided.
Like the other cordless tools, hedge trimmers can be used in conjunction with the battery backpack. It will allow you cut more hedges per charge without adding weight.
Pressure washers
Makita is not well-known for pressure washers, however they have had a limited number of corded electrical machines in their inventory over the years. The prototype for the new 36v cordless model, which can be powered by two 18v batteries, was shown to us. These machines have appeared on the market quite a few times in recent months. Although they are less powerful than petrol or mains-powered machines, they are lighter and better suited to light cleaning tasks. The Makita cordless washer must be the most powerful, with a current specification of 80 bar pressure and 330 L/h flow rate. It will be interesting to compare it against other models once production begins.
